︎ABOUT

DIANA GUO interested in creating atmospheres through storytelling and poetry and believes in the soft power that stories can bring. She is exploring the translation/transformation of personal narratives in immersive public spaces to incite awareness, emotion, and social change. The media are not toys… they can be entrusted only to new artists, because they are art forms.

Sketchbook

Compiled Archives of Drawing & Process

Charcoal, graphite, acrylic, oils on bristol, canvas, paper
Year: 2015-Present

+sketchbook +conceptdevelopment +charcoal +graphite +drawingfoundation +studioart

Archive of hand sketches that obseerve, document, and explore the representational form of both the human body and habitat. The works from 2015-2017 focuss on human figure as part of live studies from the BA in fine art. Post 2017, the sketchbook became a point of archival documentation with scrapbooking, compilation and observation. This series has grown over time to become an index of multiple scales and subject matter that speak to different periods of creative output in my explorations as an artist and designer.
